Change is Hard

Winston Churchill once said, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” The issue is that change is hard, is uncomfortable, and can be deadly! Just ask our sea turtle friends upon hatching!

There is a place, ironically, called “Fat Man’s Pass” where one must squeeze through a single, extremely tight place to make it to the other side. Such is change! Generally, we are either forced (or go willingly) into a place where we must leave much of our past – good and bad – behind to go through this single gate. But, the reward for changing is a vast, wide open, playing field of ideas and innovation that can propel us to the next level.

Now, reapply Sir Winston Churchill’s quote and realize that, to be successful continuously, we must embrace this process over and over!
