Paraphrasing a mentor of mine, “Lead with the heart of a servant; serve with the heart of a leader.”
It is imperative that those of us striving to improve culture and become successful continue to remind ourselves that without functioning and healthy teams, leadership is moot. Likewise, as we continue to increase influence through service, that are constantly assured that we are serving not just to pass the time or look for the next best thing, but to empower ourselves and others and grow professionally.
